The new soccer season is about to begin in most of Europe. Surely some great banter to be had here?! bring it on!

I don't like that word either, but US forum members will right away assume American football hehe. So it's the only way to show clearly which sport it is.

I actually like Stoke. I think they won a lot of fans last season. it's Liverpool I don't like hehe.

Hehe, yes that's right,18-18.I think the title race is going to be real tight between Pool vs Man U this season too.Pool has been "my" team in my heart since I was 11 years old. When Owen went to Man U,it was like a knife in my back Sad .

Haha and it's in the script that Owen WILL Score at Anfield. He's looking sharp in pre season matches. Watch out!!!

Seriously speaking though its going to be harder to win the league this year. No Ronaldo, no Tevez have to change the way we play a bit. But I think we will be competitive, but could struggle a bit compared to last season. We have a few new players so we'll see what they can do. Valencia look pretty good, quick, strong and has a good shot on him.

I hope you are in agreement with me, that REAL MADRID WILL FLOP BIG TIME!!! Too many divas/egos do not make a great team.

Hehe, don't say so,I'm shaking. He's gonna be very, very scared to enter Anfield, Shocked
I think it's two very big damages,Ronaldo and Tevez, for the team.
But Man U have a very big squad with an excellent coach.
I completely agree with you about Real M,I believe and hope they will FLOP this season and season after that and so on.It seems that Pool will loose Alonso to Real M and that hurts. They want to have all players, think they are gods Mad

Oooooops slight malfunction by Liverpool tonight losing 3-0 to Espanyol. I know it's just a friendly but that was more or less a full strength team you guys put out! Still hard to tell but how much will you miss Alonso? is that a worse blow to Liverpool than United losing Ronaldo perhaps?

Hehe, one more lost Embarassed .At Anfield against A. Madrid 1-2,F**K!!
Alonso did not score that much, but he was very important on midfield.
A whole lot of the game went through him,the balance Sad

That's the point I was trying to make with some Liverpool fans that I know. That he made a lot of the play for your team. Also that he won't be easy to replace. Not been a good pre season for Liverpool but well we shall see what they an bring once the league starts.

Anyways the premier league curtain raiser is tomorrow, the community shield. Man United V Chelsea. Any prediction? Razz
